Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian actress, dancer, born on 22 July 1983 in Sydney Australia. In 2001, Sharni Vinson was part of two episodes on the Australian Soap Opera Home and Away. The show was able to select her for the lead role in the Australian soap opera Home and Away because her performance in this small role was so compelling that the casting agents wanted her for the various roles. She was however rejected for her role. Thus, on the exact same show Cassie Turner was cast to play a teen troubled girl who lived in a foster home. She was praised by both the viewers and the critics for her portrayal.
