Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on television as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Fearing stress, her parents did not want to see performing before turning 18. Perry stated that she was too nervous to be an actor during high school, but started doing shows in theater classes at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer to the university from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, moved into New York in search of TV roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California for theater roles. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie together with her in the year 2015. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017 she had a recurring role on her own ABC Political thriller Scandal starring her father. The same year, she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a youthful version. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite being connected to this role.
